October 2026 Stock Purchases

As I'm writing this blog post, it's Tuesday, November 3rd. The temperature here in Central Wisconsin is poised to reach a high later today of 67 degrees Fahrenheit. There's rain in the forecast throughout most of the day, though, so it's an especially good day to tackle the to-dos!

With that out of the way, I will be outlining my stock purchases for October 2026. Let's dive into it!

Stock Purchase #1: Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN)

I purchased another four shares of Amazon.com at an average price per share of $243.67. Interested readers can find my investment thesis for AMZN in my October 2026 Stock Watch List blog post.

Stock Purchase #2: Broadcom (AVGO)

My next purchase was an additional three shares of Broadcom at an average cost of $342.10 per share. Readers can peruse my investment thesis for AVGO in my October 2026 Stock Watch List blog post linked above. Given the $7.80 in net annual forward dividends that this added to my portfolio, that equates to a 0.76% net dividend yield.

Stock Purchase #3: Cummins (CMI)

I purchased another two shares of Cummins for an average price per share of $518.00. This marked the first time since May 2022 that I added to my position. My rationale was basically that CMI was trading at a reasonably attractive valuation. The macro setup (e.g., the October 2026 ISM Manufacturing PMI reading of 55.5, which indicates solid expansion) was also strongly positive. This lifted my net annual forward dividends by $17.60, which is equivalent to a 1.70% net dividend yield.

Stock Purchase #4: Hamilton Lane Incorporated (HLNE)

My next purchase was an additional 12 shares of Hamilton Lane at an average cost of $84.48 per share. Curious readers can check out my thoughts in my September 2026 Stock Watch List blog post. That added $28.80 in net annual forward dividends to my portfolio, which works out to be a 2.84% net dividend yield.

Stock Purchase #5: Western Midstream Partners (WES)

Finally, I added another 19 units of Western Midstream Partners at an average price per unit of $45.10. This boosted my net annual forward distributions by $70.68, which equates to an 8.25% net distribution yield.

Concluding Thoughts:

In October 2026, I deployed $4,907.67 in net capital. This added $124.88 in net annual forward dividends, which is equivalent to a 2.54% net yield.

My net annual forward dividends also surged by $64.558 across nine payout raises in October 2026. That explains how my net annual forward dividends rose from around $8,325 heading into the month to nearly $8,510 moving into November 2026.
